Houston Hosting Wasn’t Always A Picnic…
We’ll be honest. Once upon a time, we chose our first website host based on price. We found the user control panel to be clumsy, awkward and difficult to navigate. When you factor in how much time we probably wasted in navigating the dashboard, we probably actually ended up spending much more time than had we just found a more user-friendly Houston host in the first place — even if it did cost us $5 or $10 extra.
You Don’t Want A Houston Host Like Captain Francesco Schettino!
Another point to consider is customer service. Houston hosting is a bit like sailing a ship. When the waters are calm, it’s smooth sailing. We couldn’t believe the story about Concordia Captain Francesco Schettino who jumped ship when the cruise he was piloting hit the rocks and sunk!
We had a similar experience with our second Houston host (albeit a much drier experience.) This Houston host offered a much better layout for navigation and they seemed fairly responsive to us. All was right again! Well, that is until some guy filed a bogus spam complaint against one of the sites our Houston host managed… causing the rank of our site to drop as well. Lo and behold, our Houston host had buried his head in crisis mode and we could do nothing but sit tight for several days until we found a new internet service provider.
The Bottom Line
At the end of the day, reliability, usability and customer service are most important in choosing a Houston host. Often times, we live and learn, but we’d like to save you the trouble if possible!
